*The show on Sunday 18 November will be performed in English.
prty lyf is a presumptuous party in defence of the self-absorption of the Western middle class, accompanied by droning bass rhythms, flashing lights and dirty games.
In prty lyf local artist Ibrahim Fazlic will party all your miseries away. Through an ocean of everlasting bass and strobe lights, he will entice and seduce you from the PREPARTY through to the PARTY and into the AFTERPARTY. By the end of the evening, he will have drowned all your middle-class sufferings, and compelled you to dirtily play along.
This performance investigates how people in developed countries relate to themselves and to the rest of the world. Among the many paradoxes, the powerlessness, guilt feelings and the self-destructive games, Fazlic looks for a western right to suffering in a global context. Fazlic is a trained actor from Nord University. This is his third professional performance, and the first to be performed at, and co-produced by Teaterhuset Avant Garden.
13 November from 8 o’clock, you are invited to BreakFastBeat, a free-of-charge-early-morning-nightclub in the set of the performance. We will serve coffee.
