It is a question of power. And it is a question of how the power relation “us” and “them” manifests itself in the individual mental and physical landscape. Who are “we”? Can everyone be “us”?
Based on the slogan from the French Revolution “liberty, equality, fraternity or death” this performance explores traditional “Western” values such as freedom and equality, values that are often considered to represent “us”. Siljeholm/Christophersen is a dance artist duo formed in 2006. Their artistic intention is to develop clear concepts in order to create dance performances that transcend the genres involved, all though still manifested within the field of contemporary dance.
This perfomance is part of Multiplié dancefestival, arranged by DansiT.
